Our NGB executives, district chairmen from D911, D913, D914, D912, D910 & D916, club presidents, district executives, club officers, our respected IIWPP Mrs. Alatise, past board members/directors, past national representatives, past district chairmen, charter presidents and all inner wheel shine a light sisters.
On behalf of the National Governing Body of Inner Wheel Clubs in Nigeria, I warmly welcome every member to our centennial year with the inspiring theme "Shine a Light."
There is no doubt that the year 2022/2023 has been an exciting one despite the Nigerian General Elections and I strongly believe that this Inner Wheel year holds great promise and will be a resounding success. However, success will not be served on a platter, it requires our collective efforts to excel in what we do best - taking responsibility and serving with unwavering passion.
This year’s theme is a wakeup call to all members. Let us rally together in pursuit of the goals outlined by the International Wheel President Trish Douglas for this year, with particular emphasis on membership growth.
We must actively focus on attracting new members to Inner Wheel, retaining our existing members, and establishing and nurturing new clubs. We must also undertake more projects to shine a light in our various communities.
The social project for the year remains "Strong Women, Stronger World." It is often said that when you educate a woman, you educate a family. We must work together to ensure the basic needs of women and youths, thereby securing a brighter future for all.
Mark your calendars for the International Inner Wheel Convention, scheduled to take place from 7th to 10th May 2024 in Manchester, UK. This event will provide a remarkable opportunity to reunite with old friends and forge new friendships as we continue our dedicated service to humanity.
Furthermore, our next Inner Wheel Conference/Rally will be held from 8th to 11th February 2024 in Lagos. Let us collectively work together to ensure the success of this event, with everyone's involvement playing a crucial role.
Once again, I convey my sincerest greetings and best wishes to all elders and members. Let us embark on this centennial year with renewed enthusiasm and dedication to make a positive difference in the lives of those we serve.
Yours In Service,
Zainab Ikheloa
