District 911 Outings


District 911 celebrated the International Women’s Day on the 8th of March 2022 by having a Wall of Kindness for members of the community in Ikeja, Lagos. The celebration held at a hall at Arch Bishop Vinning Church Ikeja GRA, Lagos.

Members of the community were given food bags containing raw rice, and salt and they also had the privilege of choosing from a large selection of used but useful household items, clothes, shoes and bags.

The District also had a female pilot come in to give a talk on breaking the bias and the female students of Ireti Senior Secondary School Falomo , Lagos were encouraged to follow their dreams.

IWC of Ilupeju held a 3 day Empowerment/Skill Acquisition project from  the  9th to the 11th of  March 2022.  The club sponsored 19 persons who were trained only one of them was a man. 

The areas of training wer the vocations  of Confectionery,  Fashion Design,  Soap making and tie& dye. The beneficiaries were given grants of N20,000 each as Empowerment for the  take off of their respective businesses. They also came with their products which were showcased for the DC and her entourage to sight on the 19th of March when the DC and her executives visited the club.

INNER WHEEL CLUB OF GBAGADA IFAKO had her star project for the year on Thursday 31st March, 2022.

The Club donated a Baby Incubator worth ( N850,0000) Eight Hundred and fifty Thousand Naira to the Ifako Ijaiye General hospital and consumables worth about( N 200,000), Two Hundred Thousand Naira to all the patients in the hospital’s pediatric wards, through their mothers.

The IWC of Odogbolu on the 10th of May 2022 donated a borehole to the Health Centre, Ikosa, Odogbolu, as the Star Project of the Club for the 2021-2022 Inner Wheel Year.

The District Chairman, IWM Modupe Oyeduntan, who was accompanied by the District ESC, IWM Adebukonla Adesokan, had the honour and privilege of cutting the ribbon to commission the Project for the immediate use of the Health Centre. Among the invitees were PNR Bimbo Sowande, PDC Jumoke Odulaja and IVDC Meg Adegoke, the Deputy Director, Local Government, the Ward Focal, other invited guests, and the President of the host Club, IWM Abby Adegbuyi, Club Executives and the members.

Total Cost of the Star Project is: 553,500 Naira. ( Five Hundred and Fifty Three Thousand, Five Hundred Naira only).
